In a quiet Overland Park shopping center this past weekend, one storefront stayed bright when the lights flickered off after dinnertime in other nearby windows.
Inside, unlike other late-night destinations, coffee was served instead of cocktails. By the end of the new shop’s first weekend open, its owners said some customers had already been back multiple times.
Their new Arabic coffee shop, Turath Coffee, began its “soft opening” phase on Friday, welcoming in an already-loyal following.
Turath Coffee opened at 9916 College Blvd.
- The coffee shop opened inside a space just off College Boulevard and U.S. Highway 69, near Italian eatery Garozzo’s and Chipotle.
- The site was previously occupied by breakfast eatery First Watch.
- Turath Coffee is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
