INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – Union members who work at the Lake City Army Ammunition plant began a strike Saturday morning in Independence.
The IAM Local 778 announced Saturday that its members rejected a contract proposal from Olin Winchester and began a strike.
“This group rejected a contract proposal that DID NOT reflect the value they bring to this company,” the union said in a statement. “The company proposal did not reflect a proposal that recognizes the current economy or a work/life balance.”…
