The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a potential person of interest Monday evening after a pedestrian was killed in an early morning hit-and-run in Kansas City’s Northland.
At about 7:10 a.m. Monday, a truck driver on Interstate 35 reported seeing someone lying on Edgar Petty Road, which runs parallel to the highway, north of Northeast 116th Street, according to Sarah Boyd, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
