Customer seeks help to repair Overland Park boba shop after crash into shop

A friend of an Overland Park boba business is seeking help to fund repairs after a car drove through it last month.

“ The owner is a local to the area and an important part of the community, providing a place for everyone to enjoy a tasty treat and friendly environment,” Valeria Burge said in a GoFundMe post.

Overland Park police were called to Bubble Cup just after 10 a.m. on March 31 to the tea shop at 8331 W. 135th St. A woman in a sedan had accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake and drove into the building, breaking its front wall and windows, all the way up to the shop’s counter, according to John Lacy, spokesperson for the Overland Park Police Department…
