OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – A second child has died following a weekend apartment fire at the Sheridan Ridge Apartments in Overland Park, the fire department announced.
The Overland Park Fire Department confirmed the death on Thursday, April 23 – 2 days after the first child’s death was reported on Tuesday.
Firefighters said the two children were among five people hospitalized after the fire broke out around 3 a.m. on Saturday at the 2-story apartment building.
