Detainees relocated to Jackson County’s new detention center in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says all detainees formerly held at the downtown jail have been moved to a new facility near I-70.

All individuals previously housed at the Jackson County Detention Center at 1300 Cherry have been relocated to the county’s new detention facility at 7000 U.S. Highway 40 in Kansas City, Missouri, officials say.
