KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – One person is dead after a speeding car crashed into a tree in Kansas City, police say.
The Kansas City Police Department says it responded around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, to the area of 83rd and Flora Ave. after reports of a crash.
Officers note that a gray Honda Accord had been speeding south on Flora Ave. when the driver lost control, veered off the road to the right, crossed through a yard and struck a tree in front of a home.
First responders say the driver – the only person in the vehicle – was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased…
