Smoke plume map issued after Pensacola recycling fire; ill residents urged caution

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola firefighters battled a large fire at EMR Southern Recycling for hours on Tuesday.

Pensacola Fire Department crews have been on scene on Myrick Street since just before 2 a.m., working to control the blaze. Crews reported they had the fire out around 10:30 a.m.
