SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden announced that on Friday, June 19, a Santa Rosa County jury convicted Gunner Cole Bush of aggravated animal cruelty.
On December 9, 2023, Bush tortured a kitten to death. Bush had moved into the home of his then-girlfriend and her family in the summer of 2023, according to officials. During that time, two other cats belonging to the family went missing — one of which had been part of the family for five years. Bush was identified as the last person seen with one of the missing cats.
Following the kitten’s death, the family discovered the remains of the two other cats nearby. A tool used to mutilate the kitten was recovered from Bush’s truck, officials said…
