Santa Rosa County District 2 Commissioner Candidate Jeff Snow believes leadership begins with service, accountability, and leading by example. That’s why, as a candidate he is making an unusual pledge to the citizens of Santa Rosa County. If elected, Snow has committed to taking a 15% reduction in his county commission salary.
“As families across our county work hard to make ends meet, I believe those elected to serve should be willing to make sacrifices as well,” Snow said. “Public office is about serving the people, not serving ourselves.”
Snow’s pledge comes after attending the Santa Rosa County FY 2027 Budget Workshop on Monday, where county leaders discussed the significant financial challenges facing the county, including budget reductions being considered in anticipation of the proposed Amendment 3 on the November 3 ballot.
