Larger than normal crowd turns out for Breakfast with the Blues

PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. (WALA) – A larger than normal crowd packed Pensacola Beach Wednesday morning for Breakfast with the Blues, the annual event that officially kicks off Red White and Blues Week with a morning Blue Angels flight.

The event, which takes place once a year during Blue Angels flight week, typically draws a smaller crowd as attendees look to beat the heat and the larger crowds expected later in the week. This year, however, the Casino Beach and Quietwater parking lots filled completely and closed around 7 a.m. — something that does not usually happen for the event.
