Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola opens new inpatient rehabilitation facility

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola will celebrate an expansion with a ribbon-cutting on its new inpatient rehabilitation facility, according to hospital officials.

Old Mobile Golf Course set to reopen by the end of the year

According to a news release, the hospital will officially open a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility Aug. 6 at 9 a.m. at the facility, located at 5192 Bayou Boulevard on the Ascension Sacred Heart campus.

“The state-of-the-art, three-story, 41,000-square-foot center is a pivotal expansion of the hospital’s continuum of care,” the release said.

The facility will feature specialized physical, speech and occupational therapies, as well as medical care customized for patients recovering from strokes, neurological injuries and disorders, severe trauma, orthopedic injuries and other “medically-complex conditions,” according to the release.

“This new inpatient rehabilitation center strengthens our commitment to providing seamless,comprehensive care for patients recovering from serious illness or injury,” said Will Condon, CEO of Ascension Sacred Heart Health System. “By allowing patients to begin rehabilitation immediately on our campus, we can help improve continuity of care, support better outcomes and make recovery more convenient for patients and their families.”…
