Local Pulse Weekend Top 10

This weekend is packed with reasons to get out of the house, from Bodacious’ grand reopening downtown to a Grammy winning band closing out the Saenger’s summer lineup.

Bayview Park comes alive with live music at Bands on the Bayou, the Fairgrounds fill up with thousands of reptiles and exotic animals for a weekend expo, and Genie’s Coffee Shop turns into a comedy club for a night of laughs.

Add in an outdoor movie under the stars, a classic film with live organ music, a songwriter showcase, and a paint and sip session, and there is truly something for every kind of weekend plan. Here is everything worth putting on your calendar.

Ribbon cutting by the Minority Chamber of Commerce at 11am, plus a meet and greet with Cat Country and Kazoo of the Blue Wahoos. The first 50 customers get a tote bag filled with goodies from the Bodacious Cafe, Bodacious Bookstore, Bubba’s Sweet Spot, Great Harvest, and the Blue Wahoos.
