ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A man is charged with robbing CSL Plasma Center employees of their jewelry in broad daylight earlier this month.
Juan Colon, 36, is facing these charges:
- robbery with a firearm (two counts)
- attempted robbery with a firearm
- possession of firearm by convicted felon
The incident happened on Aug. 6 around 11:40 a.m. at the CSL Plasma center, which is located in a plaza in the 5000 block of Davis Highway.

According to the arrest report, three female plasma center employees were eating lunch at picnic tables in the alley when Colon pulled up in a gray Honda, parked and got out. He was reportedly armed with a gun and had a mask covering his mouth and nose.
The report states Colon yelled “chain, chain!” at a woman and then snatched her Pandora necklace off her neck. He then reportedly took her wedding ring set and Pandora bracelet. In all, the woman’s jewelry was valued at approximately $7,500…
