A Florida man was reportedly issued a ticket due to his vehicle being flagged by AI for running a red light when he was not the one driving.
A Florida man is questioning Pensacola’s AI red-light camera enforcement after he received a ticket for a violation he claims he could not have committed. That is because he was not in the city during the incident that took place. He claims the system is “un-American” and no voters asked for this.

Jacob Rockwell, an Escambia County resident, was reportedly issued a civil citation. The violation involves his car running on a red light at 9th Avenue and Gregory Street in March. He recently addressed the Pensacola City Council about the citation. Rockwell claims that he was actually in Seminole, Alabama, when the violation occurred.
“Y’all sent me one of these tickets from one of your AI red-light cameras you have deemed as necessary infrastructure in your city. The thing about this is I was in Seminole, Alabama, at the time I allegedly ran this red light downtown.” Rockwell said during the council meeting. “How could I be in two places at one time, you ask?
