PENSACOLA, Fla. — The clock is ticking for the City of Pensacola to determine how to use $400,000 in federal monies, earmarked to help fight homelessness.
The $400,000 is what’s left of more than a million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars. Many of those dollars were spent on pallet shelters for those transitioning out of homelessness.
The company that builds these shelters is now going out of business, and the leftover dollars have to be spent before the end of the year…
