Tracking Hurricane Isaias/ First Alert Weather Day Sunday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good afternoon. We’ll see mostly cloudy sky, and seasonal temperatures for the rest of the day. Cloudiness associated with Hurricane Isaias will continue thicken throughout the day into tonight. By Saturday, scattered showers are expected during the evening. Sunday will feature periods of rain, heavy at times, and rather breezy conditions. Based on its current track, 1″-2+” of rain will be possible. The storm is currently 195 miles south of Pensacola, Florida. Its a category 3, with top wind speeds around 120 mph, moving north north east @ 16 mph. It a still expected to make landfall late this afternoon or evening, between coastal Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. We’ll keep you updated. Have a great, and safe weekend.
