“The electronic dance music scene has been growing in Pensacola for the past couple of years,” said Spencer Bagley, Floored Presents owner and entertainment director of Laguna’s Beach Bar + Grill. “And it’s definitely been making a wave here in Pensacola this past year. So we knew that by doing this festival, we can help grow and promote electronic dance music.”
Among the artists slated to perform include Felix Cartal, DJ Susan, and Tampa-based DJ/Producer Mardi Mayhem. Friday’s headliner, What So Not, and Saturday’s headliner, SIDEPIECE, boast a combined total of 5.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
“We were diligent to get acts that like, maybe, if you weren’t super familiar with electronic music in general, that these headliner acts are something fun for everybody,” said EDM artist Ryan Lee, better known as ZEWMOB. “Not just for people who are really deep into the electronic music world. So if it’s your first time (listening to EDM music), definitely give it a try, these acts are digestible for everyone, even first timers.”
