PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Hey, y’all! A few days ago, I was working on a “ Drexel On The Road ” report previewing the Double Bridge Run over Pensacola Bay. You’ll see that report this coming Friday on News 5 .
Shooting reported off of Cottage Hill Road in Mobile Sunday morning
During the story’s shooting, Amy Marquez of Pensacola Sports and I took a short run in the pedestrian lane of the bridge over Pensacola Bay.
She talked about the importance of people coming out and standing in this lane on race day to cheer on and encourage the runners.
That got me thinking about our daily “races.” You know, when we are trying to get from point A to point B?
We usually start strong, but as the “race” or the struggle to get to the finish line drags on, we find ourselves slowing down, losing heart, and sometimes throwing in the towel.
I bet someone you know struggles to make it from point A to point B today. My question for you, and for me, frankly, is who are we encouraging today?
Are we looking for people who need an encouraging and helpful word to help them keep going, a hand-up or a meal to give them strength, a hug to warm their heart, or a prayer to give them hope?
