City officials say that both Palafox Market locations will be turning purple, green and gold a week ahead of the Grand Mardi Gras parade through downtown Pensacola. The market will be stocked with Mardi Gras-themed goods from over 250 vendors.

Visitors can stop by the Mardi Gras Market locations between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and early shoppers can pick up a special Mardi Gras Market bead necklace while supplies last.

The market is located on Palafox Street, stretching from Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza to Garden Street, and the second South location at Plaza Ferdinand on Palafox at Government Street. A free trolly will take people between markets from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
