Create your own cupcake at The Makery

  • Pace has a delightful new bakery called The Makery at 4857 Spencer Field Road. While The Makery has a fully stocked bakery case with treats to grab on-the-go, like toffee chocolate chip cookies, toasted marshmallow brownies and red apple cheesecake, the make-your-own cupcake bar is becoming the bake shop’s claim to fame. You can choose your own cake flavor, filling, frosting and toppings with about 27 ingredients from which to choose. The fillings are what dreams are made of, with options like blueberry lavender jam, house-made Nutella, vanilla bean pastry cream and peanut butter mousse. The Makery was opened by chef Meredith Sowell, whose career spans over 10 years in various professional kitchens. The Makery is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday at 4857 W. Spencer Field Road.
