Santa Rosa approved one residential project in August to add 100+ homes

Santa Rosa County only approved just one residential development project in August, but the sole project could lay the groundwork for dozens of new homes to be built in Milton.

Phase nine of the Plantation Woods project was approved to develop 104 lots for future singe-family residences using almost 40 acres of land off of Tarsus Drive, according to the project’s final plat plans filed with Santa Rosa County.

The same document shows that the subdivision’s lots will be split into six different blocks.

Three new roads will be created as part of the project: Ephesus Way, Galatia Street and Phillippi Street. Bluebell Street and Gaineswood Drive will also extend into the subdivision, with developers planning to connect the Bluebell Street to Tarsus Drive.

The developer behind the project is Plantation Development of Northwest Florida, which had been working since July to get this proposal approved.
