Shoreline Foods in Pensacola catches fire Thursday night causing ‘significant damage’

Shoreline Foods & International Deli at 1180 W. Main St. caught fire Thursday night, leaving “significant damage” to the store, according to Battalion Chief Michael Slater.

The Pensacola Fire Department received the call that smoke was showing from Shoreline Foods at 8:57 p.m. Thursday. Once they arrived on scene, they detected a fire had started in the kitchen and made its way up through the roof.

The department worked to get the fire out within five minutes of arriving, according to Slater. While the fire was contained to just Shoreline’s kitchen, smoke damage spread throughout the restaurant.

No injuries were reported at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is still undetermined.

Shoreline Foods owners also took to social media to share their devastation over the fire.
