Oktoberfest in Escambia, Santa Rosa counties: Where to get in on the celebration

It’s time to locate your lederhosen. Oktoberfest is in full swing in Escambia and Santa Rosa County’s food and beverage scene .  Here’s where to get in on the celebration.

Odd Colony Brewing Co.

Odd Colony is hosting their Oddtoberfest from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. this year as an ode to the traditional German fall festival of lager slugging, pretzel eating and stein hosting, according to Odd Colony’s event Facebook page. There will be free entry, new merchandise, a can and draught release of Oddtoberfest − an open fermented Marzen style lager. There will also be lederhosen and dirndl apparel, a stein hoisting competition with prizes and authentic German food and pretzels. Registration for the stein hosting competition begins at 3 p.m. for a $25 entrée fee including a branded stein and full one liter pour. The competition follows at 4 p.m. The first-place winner will receive a $100 gift card and merchandise, followed by the second-place winner receiving a $50 gift card and four pack of beer.
