Pensacola’s first Smalls Sliders location just opened up on North Davis Highway and now they’re set to get a neighbor soon.
National coffee chain 7 Brew was approved on Wednesday for its first Pensacola location, which will be created using a vacant lot in the Home Depot plaza. 7 Brew plans to serve customers out of a 500-square-foot building using two drive-thru lanes.
Once construction is done, 7 Brew will be located on a 0.97-acre parcel in front of Smalls Sliders that’ll also have 13 parking spaces. The two chains will be able to coexist thanks to both having a drive-thru-oriented business model.
The project’s developers initially sought to build the store at the former home of Checker’s , located on the northeast corner lot of Brent Lane and North Davis Highway, but filed their updated plans with the county in June.
Escambia County’s Development Review Committee gave feedback to developers about their plans on July 11, then approved the project on Sept. 18. Developers provided an updated set of site plans on Sept. 13.
