NAS Pensacola hypes up Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show with new video

As we move closer and closer to the beginning of November, Naval Air Station Pensacola uploaded a new video to their social media accounts Tuesday morning meant to hype up this year’s Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show.

Scheduled for Nov. 1 and 2, this year’s homecoming show theme is “Celebrating One Small Step” after the Apollo 11 mission’s lunar landing on July 20, 1969.

NAS Pensacola’s new video fits the theme perfectly as the first few seconds show a rubber duck floating through the vastness of space.

Although celebrating a small step, the homecoming air show will be far from small as the U.S Air Force 3600th Air Demonstration Unit Thunderbirds will join the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron Blue Angels in an “experience you won’t want to miss,” according to NAS Pensacola’s commanding officer Capt. Terry Shashaty.

When is the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show?

The Blue Angels’ annual homecoming air show is scheduled for Nov. 1 and 2. Unlike the Pensacola Beach Air Show, the homecoming air show will take place onboard NAS Pensacola.
