ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A semi-truck overturned on I-10 in Escambia County Thursday morning. It happened around 8:30 a.m. on I-10 west near mile marker 12. According to FHP, the semi driver — a 48-year-old Plains, Georgia man — failed to apply the braking system in time due to traffic congestion. He tried to swerve to avoid hitting other vehicles, but collided with a trailer attached to a pickup truck in front of him.
