‘March of Dimes’ hands Florida D+ grade in pre-term birth report card

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — The earlier a baby is born, the more likely that baby is to have health issues that can last a lifetime — like cerebral palsy and lung problems. Each year, about one in 10 babies in the U.S. are born pre-term. In Escambia County, it’s one in six.
