Convenience store giant 7-Eleven is planning to build first project in area

Popular 7-Eleven is a nationwide chain of convenience stores, but their footprint is nonexistent in our area. Neither Escambia County nor Santa Rosa County have a single 7-Eleven, but we could see the corporate giant move into the area soon.

Santa Rosa County received a development proposal this week to build its first 7-Eleven at 3861 Garcon Point Road on the northeast corner of Garcon Point Road and Henzelman Drive in Milton.

Developers want to build a 5,407-square-foot convenience store with two fueling canopies and 49 parking spots, according to their site plans filed with the county. They also plan to use three existing roads to provide access onto the site − Garcon Point Road, Henzelman Drive and Sundial Boulevard.

7-Eleven is the latest convenience store chain, like Wawa and CEFCO, to show interest in establishing their brand in the area.

The 7-Eleven proposal for Milton was prepared and filed by the Atlanta branch of the Bowman Consulting Group on behalf of the Potter Companies, LLC based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
