The 51-year-old is charged with principal to first-degree premeditated murder for allegedly encouraging and participating in a plan for her son Keith Agee to kill the mother of his child, 18-year-old Brooklyn Sims, who also happened to be her coworker.

The deadly shooting happened inside the Home Depot on Davis Highway in Pensacola on August 11, 2023. The motive: Keith Agee contracted an STD and blamed Sims for giving it to him. However, it turned out to be not true.

Keith Agee was convicted last December of murder and sentenced to life in prison.

Tuesday, the jury heard from more than a dozen witnesses, including coworkers of Sheila Agee and Sims, who were there the day of the shooting. They also watched a surveillance video from the Home Depot and saw and read the text messages between Sheila and her son Keith.

“She suggests ‘Well if you’re off work why don’t you just come on over to Pensacola, you can do it here so you don’t have to do it in front of your child’,” Assistant State Attorney, Alvin ‘Trey’ Myers said during opening statements Tuesday.
