BILOXI, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Officials said a Florida man died after he drove off of a Mississippi fishing pier.
The incident occurred at the fishing pier off of Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Sunday, December 29.
Pearl woman dies during Lincoln County crash
WXXV reported the victim was identified as Paul Costello, 67, of Milton, Florida. He was pronounced deceased at the scene after his vehicle was pulled out of the Back Bay.
According to officials, Costello was visiting family and dropped them off at a nearby casino where they were staying. They believe he accidentally drove off the pier believing it was a road.
