Airbnb home “The SighLo” is just that – cozy silo home in Gonzalez

If you’re looking for a novel, unique and what-in-the-world-is-that type of vacation stay in Northwest Florida, your first thought might be the iconic 1966 spaceship home on Pensacola Beach or the newer spaceship home on Navarre Beach.

But what if you’re looking for more of a “Green Acres” vibe rather than an “MTV Spring Break” atmosphere?

Well, there’s the SighLo in Gonzalez that’s as odd of a home concept as a spaceship. Because the SighLo, tucked off gravelly Old Timers Lane on 1 Silo Way, is, as you guessed, a silo concept home, recently built by Kim and Richard Davis, who live on property next door just down the street from Tate High School.

The SighLo is a 30-foot authentic grain bin purchased out of Texas, that was constructed on site on a half-acre property in Gonzalez. It’s rocket-like ceiling is 22-feet high (25-feet high on the exterior) and is just under 1,000 square feet − with more than 700 square-feet downstairs and more than 200-square-feet in the upstairs loft, accessed through a spiral staircase that emanates from the central support pole.
