DESTIN — A 50-year-old Navarre man died early Friday when his car careened off a road and down an embankment and crashed into several parked cars, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened about 5:20 a.m. near the Hampton Inn & Suites at U.S. 98 and Scenic Highway 98 in Destin.
According to the OCSO, the man was driving a black Dodge Charger. During the crash, he was ejected from the vehicle, which subsequently caught fire. Deputies attempted CPR and tried to douse the blaze with extinguishers…
