On Saturday, April 12, Pensacola Beach will be awash with swimmers and firefighters from all over the country as they come to compete in two separate events on the island.
The storied Pensacola Beach Firefighters Challenge, a competition of brute strength, sheer will, finesse and determination takes place April 12 at Casino Beach. Pensacola Sports is once again hosting the 9th annual challenge that draws local firefighters as well as those from across the country.
Partnering with the Escambia County and city of Pensacola Fire Departments, the event will test civilians’ and firefighters’ skill as they maneuver through a five-station course, all in the sand.
