Pensacola Police pursuing charges after video shows teen punch homeless man in face

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola Police is pursuing charges for an incident caught on video showing a teen punch a homeless man in the face this past weekend.

Pensacola Police made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, saying it is working with the State Attorney’s Office to press charges despite the victim declining to do so.

“When you look at the video, it’s nothing short of shocking,” Pensacola Police Officer Mike Wood said Wednesday afternoon at Mayor DC Reeves’ weekly press conference. “… When we collaborated with the State Attorney’s Office, we decided that it’s best to pursue charges in this case and we believe that’s going to happen very soon.”…
