GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WALA) – It’s been a long time coming, but after eight years Mariners Landing in Gulf Breeze is finally re-opened to the public after a lot of time and some much-needed repairs.
“It’s amazing to see it open and see the repairs that we’ve done,” said Mayor JB Schluter. “It was getting in pretty bad shape just the launch itself so there was a lot that needed to be done.”
The park was originally closed in 2017 to help with construction of the new General Chappie James Memorial Bridge. Both projects faced delays in 2020 due to Hurricane Sally which left a bigger void than expected for residents like Bobby Parrish…
