Gulf Breeze hosts grand re-opening for Mariner’s Landing

GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WKRG) — The City of Gulf Breeze has re-opened Mariners Landing underneath the 3-Mile Bridge after a five-year closure.

After first closing in 2017 due to bridge construction and then again in 2020 because of Hurricane Sally damage, Gulf Breeze residents are thrilled to once again use Mariners Landing.

The re-opening features a brand-new boat ramp and fishing pier along with swinging benches and picnic tables.

The city has invested nearly $3 million to bring the landing back to its full glory.

“Glad to see that the pier’s back open,” local resident Mack Thomas said. “This is my little honey spot. The other side is closed down, so this is the closest where I can get to fish.”…
