Escambia County Public Schools earns a B in overall school performance

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Florida Department of Education has released district and school grades, highlighting an increasing number of schools that earned an A or B, according to a release from Escambia County Public Schools.

Escambia County Public Schools has earned a B, while 86 percent of ECP schools “upheld or exceeded” performances from past years. The release states that 16 schools earned an A, 18 earned a B, 16 earned a C, and three earned a D. Notably, no ECP schools earned below a D.

“We are proud of our schools and their dedicated efforts,” ECPS Superintendent Keith Leonard said. “These school performance grades reflect the commitment of our administrators, teachers, and students. While we are pleased with our progress, we remain focused on continuous improvement. We are grateful to our students, staff, community members, and our actively engaged school board. Achieving our goals requires the collective effort and collaboration of all stakeholders.”
