Downtown Pensacola street to be closed for construction — what to know

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A portion of a downtown Pensacola street will be closed for at least 14 days for construction work, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

Portions of Santa Rosa Boulevard in Okaloosa County to be closed

B Street, between Garden Street and Romana Street, will be temporarily closed for stormwater drainage infrastructure in the surrounding area starting on Friday, July 11.

A detour will be created using Garden Street, A Street and Romana Street, according to an FDOT news release.

Depending on the weather, the closure could last longer than 14 days…
