Baldwin County man accused of stabbing pet dog multiple times

ELBERTA, Ala. (WKRG) — An Elberta man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed his dog multiple times.

According to an Elberta Police Department Facebook post, Elberta Police officers responded to a call Thursday about the stabbing of a dog near Old Foley Road.

When officers arrived, they found the dog, Veijo, bleeding from multiple stab wounds.

Veijo was immediately taken to the vet due to the severity of his injuries and is still under veterinary care, the release said.

The caller identified Howard Wright II as Veijo’s owner and the man who stabbed the dog, the release said.

Wright has been arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and is being held in the Baldwin County Jail on $3,000 bond…
