Autism Pensacola has selected Holly Strickland as its new executive director. Strickland has more than 20 years of administrative and operational experience, and she has successfully managed medical practices, overseen service line operations and executed strategic initiatives throughout her career.
- “We are already impressed with her experience and commitment to making Autism Pensacola thrive,” said Board chair Nora Emiling, in a letter to clients and supporters. “I am thrilled that Holly is joining us to lead Autism Pensacola’s efforts to achieve our goals, live our purpose and thrive for the individuals, families and community we love!”
Background: Strickland earned both her bachelor’s degree in communications and her master’s degree in leadership communication at the University of West Florida. She holds certifications as a PSC adjunct professor and in healthcare ethics. Her past experience includes serving as operations manager, Gulf Coast Breathe Free; service line manager, Baptist Hospital; practice administrator, Advanced Women’s Care; and executive director, Escambia County Medical Society.
As executive director, Strickland will oversee operations, programs, fundraising, community outreach and staff leadership while collaborating closely with the board of directors. She will also serve as the chief spokesperson, representing Autism Pensacola at events and in the community.
- Emiling added, “Holly grew up in Pensacola and now lives in Perdido with her husband of 25 years, Bo. They have three children — Bobby, a U.S. Marine with a family of his own; Hayden, a recent UWF graduate; and Shelby, the youngest at six years old. Holly finds great joy in volunteering and teaching, which makes her a natural fit for our mission.
