ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — More than 27 million people are estimated to be victims of human trafficking throughout the globe. Despite claims that it doesn’t happen here, experts report Northwest Florida does see trafficking, especially familial trafficking.
23-year-old Ariel Norris, a mother of three, was a victim of human trafficking. Since no one has been charged, WEAR News isn’t identifying the individual who family members say is responsible.
