New pediatric care era begins in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A new organization is making health care more accessible for small children and babies — they are calling it a new era of pediatric care.

Nemours Children’s Health and Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension have teamed up. The collaboration brings together the expertise of both organizations to provide higher quality care to children in the region.

“It allows us to have all the pediatric subspecialists here on site, on campus, to take care of our patients,” Chief Medical Officer of Studer Family Children’s Hospital Dr. Dawn Walton said.

Katie Naill is a mom who has been involved with the hospital since 2022. Her daughter, who was 4 at the time, received care, and now her 2-year-old son does, as well. She said she has seen positive change, describing it as a very smooth process to get the care her family needs…
