Pursuit by homeowners, witnesses leads to burglary suspect’s arrest in Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A burglary suspect is in jail after a pursuit by witnesses led to his arrest this week by Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a report of a robbery in progress Thursday, July 31, on the 7400 block of Woodside Road.

36-year-old John Rush of Fairhope was spotted in the middle of the act, with stolen property valued at around $4,400, according to officials.
