MILTON, Fla. — The arrest report for the now-former Okaloosa County corrections officer charged with murdering a woman at his Milton home states he tried to claim he shot her out of self-defense, but crime scene evidence suggested otherwise.
Curtis Johnson, 47, was arrested Saturday night in Santa Rosa County for the murder of 41-year-old Barbie Dedert. It happened around 9 p.m. at their shared home on Pinto Avenue in Milton.
Johnson has since been fired from his position as an Okaloosa County Corrections Sergeant. He is being held in Santa Rosa County Jail without bond. His mugshot is made exempt due to his former position…
