Angel uses crochet to promote mental health awareness

PENSACOLA, Fla. — There are a lot of young people who are hurting in silence.

Angela Walls kept quiet about that for too long, until she stitched together her compassion and some courage, and simply spoke up. This is from the voice of an Angel In Our Midst.

“This is my crochet journey,” Angela Walls said. “The summer of seventh grade, two new girls moved into the house next to me. After a couple of weeks of shyness, eventually we became friends. At the time, I didn’t know how terrible their home life was. The older sister brought up crocheting as a summer hobby. We all agreed, and we were all into it.”…
