The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Monday that 22 previously deported foreign nationals have been convicted for illegally reentering the United States after removal. The convictions stem from encounters across multiple counties in North Florida and reflect a coordinated federal enforcement effort.
According to court records, each defendant had been previously removed from the country due to unlawful presence and reentered without obtaining legal permission.
