Baldwin County residents living with neurologically based communication and swallowing disorders now have access to a specialized outpatient resource with the opening of Empowered Speech Pathology, a new adult-only speech-language therapy practice in Foley. Founded and led by licensed speech-language pathologist Kelly Cantrell, Empowered Speech Pathology offers targeted support for Parkinson’s disease; stroke and traumatic brain injury; ALS and other neurodegenerative disorders; aphasia, dysarthria and cognitive-communication impairments; and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies.
