Garbage truck hit by train in Escambia County: FHP

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A garbage truck was hit by a train in Escambia County on Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An FHP crash report said the garbage truck was heading east, while the train was traveling northbound through Fairground Road.

The truck began to cross the train tracks when the train hit the front right part of the truck, according to the crash report.

Officials said the truck was pushed to the left of the tracks and ended facing north.
