Husband and wife convicted in federal drug and firearm case in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. — A federal jury convicted a 37-year-old Crestview woman of making a false statement to a federal agent, while her 40-year-old husband pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of firearms, and ammunition by a convicted felon on Monday.

Evidence presented at Shantel Powell’s trial revealed that on January 31, federal search warrants were executed at an outbuilding in Crestview and the Powells’ home in Pensacola. Her mugshot has not been released.
